Step into Spring with Intention
Spring is here, and if you’re anything like me, you can feel the shift in the air.
The days are getting longer, the sun feels warmer on your skin, and there’s this undeniable pull to shake off winter’s heaviness and step into something fresh. But let’s be real—transitioning into a new season isn’t always as effortless as nature makes it seem. Our bodies need time to adjust, our minds need space to reset, and our routines need a little love to help us thrive.
That’s why spring break is more than just a vacation—it’s a necessary pause. It’s a moment to slow down, recharge, and intentionally prepare for the energy of spring. Instead of jumping in at full speed (and burning out by May), let’s ease into it with grace. Here’s how I like to reset during this time, and I invite you to join me in making the most of this season of renewal.
1. Revamp Your Morning Routine
Mornings set the tone for the day, and spring is the perfect time to refresh the way we start ours. Personally, I love beginning my day with a few deep breaths, a light stretch, and warm lemon water to wake up my metabolism. But the real game-changer? Nourishing my body from the inside out.
Every morning, I take high-quality vitamins, minerals, and omegas to support my overall well-being, along with pre-, pro-, and postbiotics to keep my gut thriving. And of course, collagen is a non-negotiable in my routine—it supports skin, joints, and energy levels, helping me feel my absolute best. Instead of rushing, I take five minutes to journal my intentions—what do I want this day to feel like? Adding this simple ritual has helped me stay grounded, energized, and focused. Try it, and notice how a mindful morning shift can transform your entire day.
2. Detox Your Environment
I don’t know about you, but after winter, my home (and life) tends to feel a bit… cluttered. Spring cleaning isn’t just about organizing your space; it’s about clearing energy, too. I love opening all the windows, swapping out heavy winter foods for lighter, vibrant meals, and reassessing the products I use daily. One of the biggest shifts I made was ditching synthetic fragrances and harsh chemicals for natural, non-toxic alternatives. It’s amazing how much better my home smells and feels with fresh air and essential oils instead of artificial sprays!
3. Prioritize Restorative Movement
Spring makes me want to move more, but I’ve learned (the hard way) not to overdo it. In the past, I’d go from winter hibernation straight into intense workouts, only to feel exhausted and sore. Now, I ease into movement with long walks, Pilates, and gentle yoga flows. Some days call for a heart-pumping workout, but others just need a slow, intentional stretch. Listen to your body—it’s the best guide you have.
4. Embrace Seasonal Rituals for Self-Care
This is my favorite part of transitioning into spring: the rituals. After months of bundling up and staying indoors, I make it a priority to reconnect with nature, soak up the sun, and lean into self-care. A long bath with Epsom salts and essential oils? Yes, please. Dry brushing to boost circulation? Absolutely. Sitting outside with a book and a cup of tea? Non-negotiable. The more I honor these little moments, the more balanced and joyful I feel.
5. Use Essential Oils & a Skincare Routine to Wind Down for Sleep
With longer daylight hours, I’ve noticed that falling asleep can feel trickier. That’s why I’ve made winding down a true ritual. About an hour before bed, I dim the lights, put away my phone, and diffuse a blend of Serenity, Lavender, and Vetiver. I also apply the oils to the soles of my feet and over my heart—it’s like an instant signal to my body that it’s time to relax.
And just as I nourish my body in the morning, I make sure my skin gets the same love at night. A gentle cleanse, a nourishing serum, and a hydrating moisturizer help my skin rejuvenate while I sleep. Adding a Gua Sha or facial massage with essential oils not only promotes circulation but also signals my body that it’s time to unwind. If you struggle with sleep, try this! You might be surprised at how quickly your body responds.
Step Into Spring with Intention
I used to think that each new season meant a total life overhaul. But I’ve learned that real, lasting changes come from small, intentional shifts. Spring isn’t about forcing ourselves into a new pace—it’s about finding our flow, listening to what our bodies need, and making space for renewal.
So let’s step into this season with grace, ease, and excitement. Pick one thing today that you’re doing to refresh your routine this spring.
With love,
